LEGAL RAW OPENING TODAY IN FORT POINT

An exciting new waterfront dining experience opens today at Fan Pier!

Legal Raw is the slated to be the hottest new waterfront dining experience in Boston!  Legal Raw features an outside café situated on Fan Pier adjacent to the HarborWalk, the Marina, the Park — and overlooking Boston’s new waterfront.

The cafe offers diners and (and drinkers) spectacular waterfront views while they pucker on everything from freshly shucked oysters, littlenecks, shrimp and sweet lobster rolls, and quench their thirst with sweet summer cocktails, a cold beer, wine and sodas. Did we mention the delicious burgers and fries for those who aren’t ready to go raw?!

Make sure to head over today after work for their opening event!

Or, you can always stop by Legal Raw after you visit FP3’s next Open House, scheduled for August 1st from 1-3pm!  The Fort Point neighborhood keeps getting better!  Seize the opportunity to get in now, before it’s too late!

Boston Condo Sales Pick Up

Downtown Sees 30% Increase in Condo Sales

FP3 FHA Approved

Boston’s downtown condominium market saw sales surging by 30 percent in the second quarter of this 2010 when compared with the same period in 2009, according to data released by Listing Information Network, a Boston firm that tracks real estate.   The number of condos sold between April and June of last year was 653, this year it was up to 849 for the second quarter.

Sales in luxury buildings, such as FP3, offering amenities such as valet and concierge services —increased by 9 percent to 121 sales in the second quarter, compared with the 2009 quarter, according to the data.

In a recent Boston Globe report on the downtown Boston condo market, Joseph Laurano, director of operations for developers Berkeley Investments, attributed the recent sales at FP3 to a change in marketing strategy as well as improvements in the economy and continuing low interest rates.  “The [FP3] building is now 60 percent sold.  Folks on firm financial footing view now as an opportunistic time to purchase urban real estate.’’

If you’ve been thinking about investing in a condo in Boston, why not schedule a tour of FP3 and see what living in Boston’s Fort Point area has to offer!  Live in a new Boston development, with luxury amenities close to Boston’s Financial District and waterfront.  Boston waterfront condos with FHA approval are hard to find- don’t pass this opportunity up!

Plugged In: Fort Point Channel

FP3 featured by StyleBoston!

(styleboston) – Get Plugged In to Fort Point Channel, former industrial hub, now, home to much of Boston’s artist community. Tony Corey chats with Joanne Chang, the mastermind behind Flour Bakery + Café, the newest of which just opened in Cambridge. When Joanne Chang came to Fort Point they thought she was crazy. Now, Fort Point Channel is a creative, vibrant neighborhood, so close to downtown crossing, that on any given day it’s all abuzz.

Joanne Chang, owner of Flour Bakery

Chang isn’t the only one who’s made her home there. Barbara Lynch’s food empire is based in Fort Point, Thompson Reuters spans an entire street and, of course, ADD Inc and Rue La La brighten the skyline.

What’s most compelling about living or working in Fort Point? According to ADD Inc.’s Fred Kramer – the people. He said, on any given day, walking down the street, you’re likely to bump into another creative soul, someone who’s young, up and coming, and part of the movement. When you walk down the street in Fort Point, you mingle with artists, designers, green urban planners and a whole lot of intellectuals.

If that doesn’t get you down to Fort Point, Joanne Chang’s cupcakes will! Not only do they “taste like air” according to Tony, but most of them are Vegan! Just like the neighborhood’s credo – there’s a little bit of something for everyone.

The Sweet Smell of Excess

When adventurous diners wish upon a star, Barbara Lynch has plenty of answers at Menton

menton at FP3 Boston Barbara Lynch's Menton at FP3 Menton in FP3 in Fort Point Interior of Menton at FP3

“They are giddy. Drunk on knowledge. High on the conceit of what they are trying to do. Finest dining, here in Fort Point — modern yet lavish, refined and formal and beyond expensive. You are in their sights, and Menton’s minions are coming for you. From the right! A woman armed with more information about the wine she will pour than anyone would ever need to know. She is grinning. She is talking perfume and acid and soil and philosophy. She is pouring liquid, golden, into your glass.

From the left! A man with a dish of delicate white porcelain, covered by a domed lid. Attached at his hip like Gemini, twin in intent, another man with fingers out like pincers. He removes the lid. They watch, smiles twitching the corners of their lips, as you bend forward to look at what he hath revealed. Tiny, delicate, edible jewelry, landscape artistry in miniature. It is a round of rock crab salad with caviar, grapefruit, and almonds. It’s a balm, as refreshing as a cool cloth on the forehead.

They keep coming, the courses and the servers. You can’t have too many of either, it would appear.

A Maine scallop, glowing round and plump like a pearl. Hello, luscious. It sits beside ravioli stuffed with fava leaf. Truffles are flung about here and there like rose petals at a wedding. It’s a celebration of something, all right. Land and sea. Taste and texture. Spring and cleansing. So good.

Lobster salad, austere, coral rounds all in a row. On top, little piles of white sturgeon caviar and tarragon. Beneath, a line of artichoke shaved into delicate, tender slivers….”
