Fresh – Uptown Harvest
Kate Kennan of Winston Flowers designed this garden of edibles for a “concept” penthouse in downtown Boston on the theme of the “urban potager.” Holding its own aesthetically as well, the garden used a lively mix of foliage textures and colors including basil, peppers, chard, garlic, eggplant, squash, tomatoes and sweet potato vine.

artSTRAND Provincetown in the FP3 Gallery
artSTRAND, a group of nine artists who came together in 2005 to create a jointly-owned gallery in Provincetown, will be showing an exhibition of new works at the FP3 Gallery from March 1 through April 30, 2010. The exhibition features work by artSTRAND members Bailey Bob Bailey, Paul Bowen, Breon Dunigan, Maryalice Johnston, Irene Lipton, Francis Olschafskie, Jim Peters, Anna Poor and Bert Yarborough.
Join us for the opening reception on Thursday, March 11 from 6 to 8 pm.
The Gallery at FP3 is part of three interlocking spaces that make up the FP3 lobby. The lobby is much larger than other residential lobby spaces – giving it a loft-like, industrial quality.

FP3 Named One of Ten Best Boston-Area Buildings of Decade
The Boston Herald highlighted ten of the best new construction projects of the past decade in the Boston area. The chosen projects, including FP3, all master the mix between modern architectural elements and traditional Boston style.
From the Boston Herald: “Hacin Associates’ FP3 residential and restaurant complex in Southie’s Fort Point Channel area gets a nod — as it combined a renovation of an existing warehouse, and a new infill building topped by a slightly askew glass box, in a project that fit the context and had stylistic flair.”
FP3 Architect David Hacin Interviewed in Esplanade Magazine
Discussing the mix of contemporary architecture with historic, David Hacin from Hacin + Associates explains how this combination worked so successfully with the FP3 Boston building.
New at the FP3 Gallery
FP3 is pleased to welcome Boston artist Lynne Kortenhaus to the Gallery.
Lynne Kortenhaus has experimented with a variety of printmaking techniques such as monotype, etching, photoetching and drypoint. Her works on paper layer colors, textures and shapes to create rich Landscapes of the Imagination. These are physical prints, hard won through her relentless and passionate touch.
Lynne has worked for a number of years at the Fine Arts Work Center in Provincetown with artists and printmakers including Michael Mazur, Bert Yarborough, Peik Larson, Betsy Garand, Vicky Tomayko and Louise Hamlin. She has exhibited her work as part of the Monoprint Project of the Fine Arts Work Center, in a group show of works on paper in the Schoolhouse Gallery, as well as in a number of private and corporate collections.
